How to apply

The Queensland Gas Scheme consists of:

  1. persons (called accredited generators) who generate, or who are involved in the generation of, particular gas-fired electricity that supports the state's electricity load
  2. persons (called liable persons), most of whom are retail entities and others who sell or use electricity in the state, who have a liability under the scheme.

If you are one of the above and wish to be part of the scheme, you can apply to become an Accredited Generator or a Scheme Participant by completing the appropriate application form and submitting it to the Regulator with the prescribed application fee.

All applications will be accepted and assessed in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 5A of the Electricity Act 1994
