Collingwood Park subsidence

Queensland Mines and Energy (QME) is continuing to assess the full impact of land subsidence at Collingwood Park.

QME and Ipswich City Council are conducting a monitoring survey program of Duncan, McInnerney, McLaughlin, Moloney Streets and parts of Fowler Street and Warren Court.

Residents in the immediate area who have not already been contacted by the department, and who may have concerns about their properties should contact the department's freecall number 1800 109 122.

QME's Collingwood Park Mine Subsidence Response Team is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals whose information we collect. Information provided to the team will be used by authorised officers to assist delivery of repair, inspection and other related services in Collingwood Park. In order to effectively deliver the Queensland Government's response to the Collingwood Park Mine subsidence event of April 2008, QME may provide this information to the Office of the Minister for Mines and Energy, and related agencies including the departments of Premier and Cabinet, Housing, Communities and Natural Resources and Water, Ipswich City Council and to external organisations engaged by QME specifically to deliver services in relation to Collingwood Park. Your information will not be given to any other person without your consent unless required by law. For further privacy information please see the privacy link at the bottom of this page.

Scoping study for Collingwood Park subsidence 2009

Queensland Mines and Energy engaged independent consultants Parsons Brinckerhoff to conduct a scoping study into further geotechnical investigation necessary to better understand the 2008 Collingwood Park subsidence event and identify potential long-term solutions. The Queensland Government is currently working as a matter of priority to implement the report's recommendations.
