Final report 1 July 2008 to 31 March 2009

This is the final report for the Department of Mines and Energy which was abolished under Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 1) 2009 on 26 March 2009.

From 27 March 2009, Mines and Energy functions became part of the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI).

Non-financial activities in this final report focus on the period 1 July 2008 to 31 March 2009.

The financial statements in this final report are for the period 1 July 2008 to 26 March 2009, the final period for the former department.

The information in this final report meets statutory reporting requirements to Parliament. The Statement of Affairs for the former department is also reported in this document.

The final report compliance checklist (PDF - 25KB) outlines the governance, performance, reporting compliance and procedural requirements of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977 and the Financial Management Standard 1997.
