The Geological Survey of Queensland hold numberous publications in both current and discontinued series. For a complete list go to the catalogue of saleable products and the list of out of print publications.

Many of these publications are currently being made available as scans in QDEX. For those out of print and not yet in QDEX the DME provides a photocopy service via an outside provider. Contact Sales for details.

Map Commentaries and Explanatory Notes

Geological maps are commonly accompanied by notes that provide information about the maps contents. Notes for the 1:100 000 scale geological map sheet series are entitled 'Queensland, 1:100 000 Geological Map Commentary' and are considered as books. Notes for the 1:250 000 scale geological map sheet series are entitled 'Queensland 1:250 000 Geological Series - Explanatory Notes' and are considered as a series. The availability of notes is incorporated into the map lists.

Other geoscience publications

Other publications include Guidebooks and Geological Society of Australia publications produced by the GSA Queensland Division and the GSA Coal Geology Group.
