Geothermal Exploration Act 2004 - Forms

The Geothermal Exploration Act 2004 asserts the State's ownership of all geothermal energy within Queensland and provides a form of tenure - Geothermal Exploration Permit (EPG) - through which this resource can be responsibly located and quantified.

Privacy

The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation is collecting information on this form to lodge an application to tender for geothermal exploration permit. This information is required under section 21 of the Geothermal Exploration Act 2004. In accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009, information collected on this form may be provided to other Queensland Government Agencies to assist in the processing of applications, where such disclosure is necessary for the effective management of the mineral resources and industry in Queensland. These agencies may include the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries and the Department of Natural Resources and Water.
