Mines Safety Statistics
The following pages (statistics by mining sector) are an initiative to provide information about lost time injuries, high potential incidents and disabling injuries. Also worker/employment figures are included for information.
Latest statistics updated:
- 16 November 2009 - added statistics across the 'whole' of sector for injury types versus causal factors for the 2004-09 period.
- 22 July 2009 - added statistics across the 'whole' of sector for the 2003-08 period.
- 13 March 2009 - report added per sector for the 2003-08 period on the most common lost time injuries - sprain/strains.
- 5 March 2009 - most statistics/reports have been updated from the 1999-03 to 2003-08 period.
