Mineral resource maps

The Queensland mineral resource maps have been upgraded for 2009.
They consist of three A1 size wall posters depicting mineral occurrence themes for selected mineral commodities. These are:
- gold
- copper
- base metals.
As part of a regular review of the mineral resources in Queensland, the series has been updated to reflect the current knowledge of the distribution of major mineral resources in Queensland.
The maps indicate the location of the major mineral resources, with pie diagrams representing the resource assemblage. These pie segments are normalised by application of the total contained resources to dollar value for the commodity.
The posters also include tabulation of resources as a total combined resource.
