Site Safety and Health Representative (Nationally recognised course)
This three day program is designed for those already employed in the mining and associated industries. However, personnel outside the industry are welcome.
Apply risk management processes (MNCG1001A Coal/MNMG325A Metals/MNQGEN300A Extractive)
Learn how to apply recognised processes to conduct inspections to identify, analyse and assess risks, recommend treatment, contribute to implementation of risk treatments and monitor controls. The course also covers participation in the preparation, testing and documentation of safe working instructions.
Conduct safety and health investigations (MNCG1008A Coal/MNMG326A Metals/MNQGEN310A Extractive)
Learn how to apply safety and health investigative processes at operational level including the identifying and collecting evidence, analysing evidence to identify reasons for an incident and identifying and documenting actions to resolve and/or prevent re-occurrence of incidents.
Communicate information (MNCG1009A Coal/MNMG327A Metals/MNQGEN340A Extractive)
Learn how to communicate effectively with others in the mining industry. The course covers writing reports, attending meetings, making presentations and participating in operational level negotiations.
