Training

Simtars' professional trainers have developed a broad range of industry relevant training courses on topics including:

  • generic inductions—surface and underground

Simtars also specialises in tailored training to meet your business or site requirements.

Participants wishing to do a course with Simtars must phone and book a place BEFORE sending in a registration form. Places in all courses fill up quickly. Registration forms are located at: Registration forms

Cancellations/Refunds

Should Simtars cancel a course, participants are entitled to a full refund or transfer of funds to a future course.

Substitutions may be made at any time prior to the commencement of a course and by agreement.

Cancellations and postponements will be accepted by phone, facsimile, e-mail or in writing up to four (4) working days prior to a course, on in the case of courses conducted overseas up to ten (10) working days prior to a course.

Cancellations or postponements after four (4) working days or ten (10) working days for overseas courses, prior to the commencement of a course may result in the full cost of the course being charged or in the case of courses to be conducted overseas, a portion of the full cost being charged to cover the cost of flights, accommodation and any other monies lost as a result of the cancellation or postponement.

Simtars reserves the right to cancel a booking when a client does not meet agreed terms and Simtars will pass on any expenses already incurred to the client.

In the event of a no-show, the full cost of the course will be charged. A tax invoice/receipt will be issued upon monies being received. 

Fees and Course Date

Costs in most cases include morning/afternoon teas and lunch. Fees and course dates listed on this website may change at short notice. Fees stated on this website are for training delivered on-site at Simtars. Fees for off-site training may differ.

Containing the spread of Influenza H1N1 09 in the workplace

In order to limit the spread of influenza and in the interest of public safety, we request that you do not attend training if you are showing flu-like symptoms such as:

  • chills, shivering, fever (temperature over 38°C)
  • headaches, muscle aches and pains
  • sore throat
  • runny and stuffy nose
  • coughing and difficulty breathing.

If you are unwell on the day you are to attend scheduled training, please phone Simtars on 3810 6328 and let us know. Trainees who attend class showing flu-like symptoms will be asked to go home. Trainees who are ill and can provide a Doctor's certificate will have their course fees refunded or will be re-scheduled to attend the next available course.

Please also note that in the event that our trainers become ill, Simtars will contact you as soon as possible if training cannot go ahead as scheduled. If this occurs, your course fees will be refunded or your training will be re-scheduled.
