- New airborne geophysical data over the Cooper Basin North survey (*April, 2009)
Smart Exploration / Smart Mining - Future Prosperity updates
- The Cape York Airborne Magnetic/Radiometric survey commenced on 23 April 2009 is currently 90% completed, and the Cape York Gravity survey commenced on 12 May 2009 is 100% completed. The gravity data are expected to be available by the end of 2009. For further information on the surveys contact geophysics. See attached map (PDF, 278 kB) of the survey areas (*October, 2009).
- Seven profiles of Magnetotelluric (MT) Survey data have been acquired in key regions of North-West Queensland. Data were collected at a survey spacing of 1 - 3km and the depth of investigation was 5km. Inversion modelling is underway with results to be released by the end of 2009. - The 7th of the Digging Deeper series of GSQ seminars will be held at the Bardon Convention Centre on 2nd December (*September, 2009).
